my pen pal

i’ve been seeing reports that manuel noriega may be getting out soon. the federal bureau of prisons has set his release for sept 9, 2007. his lawyer says the man just wants to return home to panama and live a quiet life.

i’ve never met the manuel noriega. nor was i in panama when he was detained by u.s troops. but early last year someone calling himself manny turned up in the comments section of panama after hours. as i recall, he said my writing was “bastante bueno.”

because of this i’ve come to believe manuel noriega couldn’t possibly be the horrible monster he’s made out to be. people talk about the cocaine he helped smuggle, the people he had shaved, raped, beaten, and murdered, but i think they forget that manny was kind enough to stop in and offer me support.

manny noriega, un pelao tranquilo.

What!!!!!!!check your history. This man will never live in peace. Remember, manny was the one to give up to the US authorities the first of the infamous colombian drug cartel [some Lehder guy] which eventually led to Pablo E. himself. These gentleman of the jungle are waiting for his release for some pay back I would dare to say. After those boys are done with him then the cuban intelligence, CIA, betrayed old PDF forces, on and on finally ending with the Panamianian Justice. I do not see peace anywhere near this man. After all this then comes his time in hell and if you read Dante's inferno then you know what awaits the traidors.

later and by the way are these girls that are looking for the golden boys, charge for their attention or are they really that hard up? I do not recall it being like that when I lived there unless of course they wanted money.

    Bueno just interested to know.

rrroyo – i've been on a satire kick of late. i imagine it's hard to know when i'm serious. truth is, i'll say pretty much anything to get a laugh.

in answer to your question, yeah, there are a lot of young girls hooking up with gringo-geezers, and i was making fun of that phenomenon. cheers.

a lot of the girls i know simply want to be loved and taken care of. they are actually very traditional and "old fashioned" in this sense. i know it sounds crazy, but some of them just want to have somebody to love and serve. some of the girls who have stayed with me are compulsive cleaners, decent cooks and sweet personalities. they want someone who is not macho, they are generally poor and at the subsistence level and they dream of the life they see on television (that, unfortunately, is a bad thing). like women everywhere, there are good ones and bad ones. the problem, ofcourse, is you never know until you marry one.

if you plan to hook up with one down here, for god's sake treat them kindly. cojito and i don't need any "ugly americans" down here making us look bad.

Then you are truly in paradise, and believe me I envy you. Life is good in the US but women are a huge problem. Being loved and adored is PURO and golden, sorry if I got to serious with regards to my last comment, but the truth is I was trying to be funny. Seems to be my problem too, people around me never seem to know the diference either. nonetheless I look forward to your blog on a daily base.

  5. You shouldn't judge a man without getting to know him, but the allegation of shaving people looks pretty serious to me. If anyone shaved one of my apes I would serve his cojones with mayonnaise. Please investigate the shaving accusation before pardoning Manny.
