like the tired, prune-faced whores who hit p-city seeking a cheap plastic surgeon, Panama After Hours is getting a facelift. It’s time. In the coming weeks I’ll be testing, tweaking, and Botoxing this theme (and many others). Don’t be alarmed.

Every theme is a compromise of sorts. And I need to give ‘em a go to see how they perform. Some themes work well in IE others in firefox. why is it so hard to find a good theme compatible in both? eventually, i’ll probably settle on another three column theme. but for now this will do.

I also plan to create a static front page to greet (re: warn) the doomed souls who stumble onto my lair. Of course, what’s important is the writing. I’ll be posting more of my vile prose soon. I promise.

Been back in Panama for only two weeks and most of that was spent catching up with my girlfriend. Outside of bed, I’ve been keeping busy. I’ve set up wireless, the beginings of a rental site for Panama Homestay, continued the rehab of the flat, eaten more than my share of arroz con coco guandu, and won quite a bit playing poker.

finally, i want to thank my brother raul for keeping an eye on things while i’ve been gone. know that rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. it’s good to be back.

a final note: since i’ve posted this update Panama After Hours has gone through several incarnations. all were found wanting. while it’s not 3 columns, this minimalistic theme created by sadish bala has the look and features i need. to make it a bit edgier, i’ve changed the pic, colors, and some of the styling. and i am very happy with the results.
